Taught by Certified Discover Dance Instructors.
Class Levels Include:
Each level reinforces proper technique, rhythm, and foundational dance skills. Repetition supports growth, while new songs, dance combos, and recital routines keep learning exciting. Even our youngest dancers are introduced to French ballet terminology in a playful, encouraging environment.
For beginner dancers in Kindergarten and those who have completed all Discover Dance levels at LOVV:
Our Pre-Level 1 curriculum builds on the foundation established in our primary classes. While keeping the fun and creativity alive, this level introduces more structured classwork and fresh material that dancers at this age are ready to take on thanks to their growing maturity, coordination, and body awareness.
Level 1: For beginner dancers ages 6+ and/or those who have completed all primary levels and Pre-Level 1 at LOVV.
Dancers begin building a strong technical foundation with an emphasis on posture, body alignment, and basic coordination.
Dancers typically remain in this level for more than one year and must receive teacher recommendation to advance.
Level 2: For low intermediate dancers ages 8+ and/or those who have successfully completed Level 1 with teacher recommendation.
This level reinforces posture and alignment while helping dancers gain confidence, control, and more refined coordination.
Progression beyond this level requires teacher recommendation and may take multiple seasons of training.
Level 3: For intermediate dancers ages 10+ and/or those who have successfully completed Level 2 with teacher recommendation.
Dancers continue to refine technique and develop more complex coordination while maintaining strong alignment and control.
Multiple years at this level are common, and advancement is based on readiness as assessed by instructors.
Level 4: For high intermediate/advanced dancers ages 12+ and/or those who have completed Level 3 with teacher recommendation.
Students are expected to take greater ownership of their training, demonstrating maturity in movement quality, precision in technique, and artistic expression.
Advancement to the next level is by teacher recommendation and may take several years of focused development.
Level 5: For advanced dancers ages 14+ and/or those who have completed Level 4 with teacher recommendation.
This level demands advanced technical skill, artistry, and body awareness. Dancers work toward mastering movement quality and setting new personal standards in performance.
Continued participation at this level is determined by teacher evaluation and sustained growth over time.
Advanced Classes: Reserved for LOVV’s most dedicated and technically accomplished dancers, classes at this stage offer elite-level training and choreography that challenge dancers both technically and artistically.
These classes focus on developing refined movement quality, performance artistry, and versatility across a wide range of styles.
Enrollment is by teacher invitation only and is based on exceptional skill, maturity, and a strong commitment to growth.
This class is perfect for our budding “triple threats”—dancers who love to sing, act, and move!
Students will explore a variety of theatrical dance styles inspired by Broadway musicals, combining jazz-based movement, foundational ballet technique, and character-driven performance.
Students will learn choreography from popular musicals. The focus is on developing stage presence, storytelling through dance, and the ability to connect with an audience through facial expressions and performance energy.
Our Musical Theatre instructor, Jodi-Ann Kasky, brings extensive experience in choreographing and directing youth, college, and professional productions. She offers expert guidance in both movement and character development, helping students grow as confident, well-rounded performers.
Flips, tricks, and strength-building fun!
Our Acro/Tumbling program is perfect for dancers who love to move, stretch, and challenge themselves physically. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and control through age-appropriate progressions in acrobatics and floor tumbling skills. Students will learn everything from basic rolls and bridges to handstands, cartwheels, and more—always with an emphasis on safe technique and proper body alignment.
Our tumbling instructors are certified in Preschool Acro Dance and/or Acrobatic Arts, ensuring a safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate experience for every student. Whether your child is just starting out or ready to advance, our expert team creates a supportive environment where confidence and physical skills grow together—while having a blast!
"Perfect place for my little one to explore and learn about all types of dance! One class and she was hooked. The teacher was super encouraging and kind and all the other dancers and parents were so welcoming! I don’t have much experience with dance studios but this one seems like a gem!" - Deanna Carpenter Coronato
