CLASS DRESS CODE
Dress for Success!
Please know that we keep a strict dress code at LOVV.
Dancers in proper attire and shoes with hair pulled back securely is part of the professionalism we uphold at our studio.
Hair for All Classes
Must be pulled back securely out of the face.
Slicked with gel and/or hairspray. Please set your dancer up for success with a hairstyle that allows them to move freely and does not need to be adjusted or redone during class.

Ballet Hair
Only a bun, secured tightly with many bobby pins is acceptable for ballet class. Please do not send dancers into ballet class without their hair in a bun.
Discover Dance
Leotard (any color), can have pull on skirt/tutu or dance dress (attached skirt) with pink tights.
Pink Ballet Shoes required for all Discover Dance Classes.
Black Tap Shoes also required for Discover Dance 1 and Discover Dance 2.
Boys:
Tank or fitted athletic t-shirt (under armour or similar)
Black shorts

Ballet
All classical ballet levels (Pre-Level 1 - Level 5/Advanced) require a level specific colored leotard.
This attire is to be worn during class each week and this is also their uniform for our American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards & our Annual Recital.
- Pre Level 1 = Light Pink
- Level 1 = Lavender
- Level 2 = Burgundy
- Level 3 = Navy
- Level 3/4 and Level 4 = Red
- Level 5 & Advanced = Black
All ballet Levels require pink tights and pink ballet shoes.
Level 1 thru Level 4 Ballet also require a white hip alignment ballet belt. These are sold at the studio for $10 each (not on shop nimbly).
Level 5 & Advanced Ballet can wear ballet skirts at barre/in center depending on teacher preference.

JAZZ/LYRICAL, TAP, MUSICAL THEATRE, POM TEAMS, MODERN & CONTEMPORARY
Leotard and tights, crop top or fitted tank with dance shorts or leggings. Any color. Please make sure garments fit comfortably and are form fitted.
Tan Jazz Shoes Required for JAZZ/LYRICAL, MUSICAL THEATRE & POM TEAMS
Barefoot for MODERN, CONTEMPORARY
Black Tap Shoes Required for TAP
ACRO/TUMBLING & PROGRESSING BALLET TECHNIQUE
Leotard (any color or style) with dance shorts, leggings or tights.
Barefoot. Tights should be convertible.

HIPHOP (Girls & Boys)
Loose fitting hip-hop style athletic clothing of your choice.
Clean (studio only) Sneakers Required.
Please know that NO STREET SHOES are allowed into the studio.
Adults
Adults should wear comfortable athletic attire that allows for full range of movement. Most dancers choose form-fitted tank tops or T-shirts paired with leggings, joggers, or shorts.
For ballet classes, some adults prefer to wear a leotard with a ballet skirt and tights or leggings; however, this is completely optional. Our priority is that you feel comfortable and confident so you can move freely and fully participate in class.
